I am a mechanical engineer with a focus in robotics and product design. My undergraduate degree is from Rice University. From there, I went on to earn my Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. My focus in graduate school was on robotics in controls. In addition to my classes, I was a research assistant at the BioRobtics Laboratory where I am worked on a “Smart Grasper” for minimally invasive surgery. I published my research and presented on it at the 2021 International Symposium on Medical Robotics.

I spent the summer between the first and second years of my graduate program as a hardware development engineer intern on the Amazon Scout program. I received a return offer and joined as a full time mechanical engineer in 2021. Working at Amazon Scout was amazing; I was passionate about the project and fit in with the culture. I was devastated when the program was shut down. Since then, I have found a position at Meta Reality Labs, where I work on their reliability testing team for their virtual and augmented reality hardware.

I also briefly worked as a contract mechanical engineer at Mixer Design in Austin, TX in the year between finishing my bachelors and starting my masters degree.
